Healthcare Spending Accounts
Many of our employees have taken advantage of this pre-tax benefit. You may set aside dollars from each paycheck to help pay for healthcare expenses. Since allowable expenses are paid for with pre-tax dollars, it's like getting a discount of 24 - 30 percent on these expenses.
Dependent Care Spending Accounts
Dependent Care Spending Accounts help you pay for certain day care expenses for your children or other eligible dependents, with pre-tax dollars. This only covers dependent day care that is provided while you work and your spouse (if you're married) works or attends school full time.
Long-Term Disability
Long-Term Disability Insurance is provided by Presbyterian at no cost for full-time employees (part-time employees are not eligible). The plan offers income protection if you are unable to work due to an extended illness or injury. If you become totally disabled and unable to work for 90 days, the plan will pay you 60% of your pay - with a minimum benefit of $100 a month and a maximum of $7,500 a month. (Benefits may be reduced if you receive other sources of disability or you return to work on light duty.)
Short-Term Disability
Available after one year of employment at no cost to you. After one week of medical absence, benefits are paid for up to 12 weeks at 80 percent of pay and at five years of service, up to 12 weeks at 90 percent of pay.
The Education Plan of NM
Through this plan, you may set money aside for your college or trade school education or for that of a family member. It allows you to open a college/trade school savings account to fund costs at most college and trade schools in the United States. (If you have questions, please contact The Education Plan at www.tepnm.com, or 1-800-499-7581, Monday - Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 a.m. EST.)
Life Insurance
All eligible employees are automatically covered under Basic Life Insurance. Your coverage amount depends on your employment status.
- For full-time employees: 1x your annual salary
- Part-time employees: $10,000
Supplemental Life Insurance is coverage you buy in addition to your Basic Life Insurance. You may purchase Supplemental Life Insurance for yourself, your spouse, and/or your dependents.
Accidental Death or Dismemberment
This insurance pays your beneficiary a benefit if you die in an accident, and pays you a benefit if you lose an eye or limb in serious accident. You may also purchase AD&D coverage for your spouse, children and/or the entire family.
