Presbyterian Celebrates 100 Years

Presbyterian Healthcare Services celebrated its Centennial on October 24, 2008. We enjoyed a year of celebration with multi-faceted, unique and rich activities that reflected the creativity and diversity of our state and connected deeply with our employees and the communities we serve.

Centennial Events

You may have seen our weekly Centennial advertisement series in the Albuquerque Journal. On September 21st the Journal published a special section honoring Presbyterian and our 100th birthday.

On August 23rd, we announced our community gift at the Foundation's Annual Laughter is the Best Medicine event.

In mid-October, Presbyterian published The First 100 Years, an historical book. This hardcover book includes photos, memories and interviews as it recounts our First One Hundred Years and is available at all Presbyterian Volunteer Gift shops.

On October 23rd, First Presbyterian Church hosted a Centennial Eve non-denominational church service with a reception following.

On October 24th, employees at each Presbyterian site gathered for our Centennial Birthday ceremony.
