Kathy Davis Kathy Davis is senior vice president of patient care services and chief nursing officer of Presbyterian Healthcare Services. Ms. Davis earned her bachelor's of nursing degree from West Texas A & M University in Canyon, Texas, and earned her MBA from the University of New Mexico. She serves on the boards for the NM Organization of Nurse Executives and the NM Center for Nursing Excellence, where she is chair-elect. Ms. Davis was a Robert Wood Johnson Nurse Executive Fellow from 2000-2003. |
Michael McGrail, MD, MPH Prior to joining Presbyterian, Dr. McGrail served as the associate medical director for the primary care division of HealthPartners Medical Group in Minneapolis, MN. He has more than 15 years of experience in physician group settings. In addition, he has continued to practice medicine throughout his administrative career, and plans to do so at Presbyterian. McGrail earned his medical degree at the University of Minnesota Medical School and his master’s degree at the University of Minnesota School of Public Health. He completed his occupational medicine fellowship training at Johns Hopkins University and a family medicine residency at Malcolm Grow Medical Center in Washington, DC. In this role at Presbyterian, Dr. McGrail leads Presbyterian’s medical group with oversight of clinical quality decisions, patient care and more. Presbyterian Medical Group is the fastest-growing in New Mexico with more than 580 physicians and providers and 33 clinics across New Mexico. |
Dale Maxwell Dale Maxwell was named Chief Financial Officer for the Delivery System in June 2007. Mr. Maxwell joined Presbyterian in 2002 as the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Presbyterian Health Plan. In 2006, he served as the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Presbyterian Medical Group. His career has included leadership roles in physician and hospital organizations, financial planning, performance and quality improvement, organizational development and systems implementation. Mr. Maxwell earned his bachelor's of accountancy degree from New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, NM and his master's degree in healthcare administration from Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey.

Lauren Cates Lauren Cates joined Presbyterian in 1999. As vice president of PDS Operations, she is responsible for the Operating Rooms, GI Lab, Infusion Center, Oncology Program, Pharmacy Services (inpatient and outpatient), the employed Hospitalist and Intensivist Physician Teams, Materials Management, and Integrated Support Services (Security, Housekeeping, Dietary, Food Service and Maintenance). She earned her MHA and MBA from the University of Arizona. |
Clay Holderman Mr. Holderman began his healthcare career as a Physician Recruiter and has extensive experience in attracting more than 100 physicians to rural areas throughout the U.S. He became a Hospital Administrator in 1998 in Central Kentucky and returned to New Mexico in 2005 to lead Lovelace Westside Hospital. In 2007, he became CEO of the Lovelace Medical Center Downtown. Mr. Holderman served on the Executive Committee of the Rio Rancho Chamber of Commerce as the President Elect. As Administrator of the Presbyterian Rio Rancho Medical Center, Mr. Holderman serves as Chair for the Steering Committee that is leading Presbyterian's efforts to design and build the Presbyterian Rio Rancho Medical Center, which is scheduled to be completed in 2011. Mr. Holderman is a native of El Paso, Texas. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University and a Master's of Business Administration from Colorado State University. |
Robert Garcia Robert Garcia has been with Presbyterian for 25 years. He has served as the administrator for all five Presbyterian regional hospitals, Kaseman Hospital, and the Presbyterian Northside facilities, as well as lead of clinical ancillary services at Presbyterian Hospital and lead of Albuquerque Ambulance. He received his bachelor's degree in biology from Creighton University in Omaha, NE and his master's of health care administration from the University of Iowa in Iowa City, IA.

Bo Beames Bo Beames has served as Socorro General Hospital's administrator since July 2006. Previously, Mr. Beames served as administrator of Dr. Dan C. Trigg Hospital in Tucumcari. Both SGH and Trigg hospitals are part of Presbyterian Healthcare Services' system of eight community not-for-profit hospitals throughout New Mexico. Mr. Beames is a native of Hobbs. He is a graduate of the University of New Mexico, and holds a master's degree from University of North Texas, and an MBA from University of South Dakota. In addition to his service in Tucumcari, Mr. Beames has served as Administrative Director of Black Hills Rehabilitation Hospital in Rapid City, SD from 1995-2004. He began his career in healthcare management at St. Vincent Hospital in Santa Fe, NM in 1989. He is a Certified Healthcare Executive by the American College of Healthcare Executives, a Fellow of Healthcare Financial Management Association, and a licensed Nursing Home Administrator. |
Brenda Romero, RN Brenda Romero has 25 years experience in nursing. As director of nursing and patient care services at Española Hospital, Brenda has dedicated her personal and professional life toward enriching the health and well being of the northern New Mexico for more than 20 years and is well known for her volunteer work to address the serious and ever growing problem of drug addition and domestic violence in Española. She is a life-long northern New Mexico resident, and serves on a number of committees within the hospital, such as an ad hoc member on the Board of Trustees, the Medical Executive Committee, the Medical Quality Assurance Committee and the Medical Staff Committee. She is a member of the Infection, Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, the Patient Care Committee and the Environment of Care Committee. In the community, she volunteers as a Lunch Buddy Program Board Member, a member of the Nursing Department Advisory Board for both Northern New Mexico Community College and Santa Fe Community College, and served on the Governor’s Drug Prevention Task Force.

Alfred Santos His experience includes managing and leading facilities in Seoul, South Korea, Arizona, Alabama, Ohio, Oklahoma, Hawaii, Texas, Washington D.C., and Florida including hospitals, clinics, service centers, and health insurance plans. He is Six Sigma black belt trained in quality and process improvement. He received a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of California, Berkeley and a master’s degree in healthcare administration from Baylor University in Waco, Texas.

Hoyt Skabelund Hoyt Skabelund joined Presbyterian in 1996 as an Administrative Fellow. His roles with Presbyterian have included Dan C. Trigg Memorial Hospital Administrator, Administrative Director of Health Information Management, Presbyterian and Kaseman Hospitals and Administrative Director, Hospital Admitting/Health Information Management.
